ACUPUNCTURE:
HOW IT WORKS
Think of your body like a traffic system, with constant communication happening between the body and brain. This communication helps the body adapt and respond to things like stress, pain, sleep, digestion, hormones, and recovery.
Overtime, the body can become stuck in patterns of stress and dysfunction which may contribute to symptoms like pain, tension, fatigue, digestive issues, poor sleep, brain fog, hormonal changes, or feeling constantly “on edge.”
Acupuncture works by stimulating areas of the body that are rich in nerves, blood vessels, and connective tissue. Those nerves communicate with the spinal cord and brain through the same nervous system pathways recognized in Western medicine, which is why stimulating certain areas of the body can influence how the body responds to stress and recovery.
